The Botanical Garden is also a multi-functional center of education, teaching, research and it is integrated in the Association of Botanical Gardens in Romania (A.G.B.R.). This association has developed out of "the need to achieve a more convincing involvement of botanical gardens in plant diversity conservation action at national and European level" (F.
